Dr. Duffuor, according to Allotey Jacobs, has played directly into the hands of the "dark horses" in the leadership of the NDC.
"The NDC's dark horses are in action...This would be the third pitfall, I would say. This snare is intended for Dr. Kwabena Duffour."
According to him, Dr. Duffour is "finished with the NDC...Kwabena Duffour is finished with the NDC." There are certain forces in this battle that I refer to as the "dark horses." All they desired was for Dr. Duffour to appear in court, and he has now done so.
Dr. Duffour was intended to be portrayed as an antagonist of the party, according to the former regional chairman of the NDC's Central Region.
"It has nothing to do with the fact that he was forced to go to court and then the grassroots were informed that he is an enemy of the party. "He's finished; that's it!"
In related news, Dr. Duffuor has withdrawn his injunction suit against this weekend's NDC presidential primaries.
Dr. Kwabena Duffuor filed an interlocutory injunction on May 9 against the NDC's presidential and parliamentary primaries scheduled for May 13, 2023. The injunction prohibits the party and the Electoral Commission (EC) from holding the primaries until a complete photo album register is produced.
Additionally, the former minister of finance requests that he receive the complete voter list at least five weeks prior to the election.
Additionally, the Electoral Commission of Ghana has withdrawn its oversight of the NDC primaries.
According to the chairman of the EC, their decision is intended to prevent the commission from being charged with contempt.
