I have invited Dr. Duffuor to join Bawumia-Allotey Jacobs.
Mr. Bernard Allotey Jacobs has disclosed that he has asked Dr. Kwabena Duffuor to join Dr. Bawumia's campaign team in preparation for the 2024 general elections.
"Duffuor would be politically savvy to support Bawumia. This nation is more significant than any political party. If you have the necessary knowledge, you should assist Bawumia. He (Duffuor) must consider the greater national interest....He can sit on the sidelines and provide support to assure a change in the situation's dynamics", he said.
In his opinion, such a move would be "politically wise" because Ghana is more significant than any political party.
In an interview on Movement TV that was monitored by Chris News Media, the former Central regional Chairman for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) stated that prior to the NDC's primaries, Dr. Duffuor called him to come and help his campaign, but he declined the invitation because he had already allied himself with vice President Mahamudu Bawumia.
Mr. Bernard Allotey Jacobs explained why he did not participate in the NDC's recent primaries: "Duffuor called me, but I told him I had already declared my support for Bawumia, so I can't come help him."
