Residents of Accra's flourishing community of Teshie have struggled with municipal road deterioration.
The condition of these roads has alarmed commuters, who deplore its negative effects on their daily lives.
"All we ask for is for the road to be repaired. This week, I have already made two visits to the auto repair shop. You can imagine what we locals are experiencing. We have been neglected for a long time. A road user complained to Citi News that the potholes are worse than squalor.
When we visited various Teshie communities, it became clear that the region's roads were in a deplorable state, presenting numerous obstacles for drivers and pedestrians.
Residents have taken to the streets today, May 30, 2023, to demand a fair share of the national allotment.
Government declares immediate highway maintenance in Teshie
In the meantime, the Ledzokuku Municipal Assembly has proclaimed the immediate rehabilitation of several Teshie inner roads.
According to the Assembly, Tsuibleoo's inner roads, from LEKMA to the Adjorman roundabout, Fertilizer Road, and King Kortey Road, will be promptly rehabilitated.
