Someone gave me a 'broken heart' - Efya discloses the reason she took a break from music.
The singer Efya disclosed that she took a break from music to heal her emotional wounds, presumably after her boyfriend shattered her heart.
During the interview, the singer revealed that she had ceased singing at the time due to a broken heart.
"It hurt my heart that I didn't want to sing.
"As a baby girl, how I feel is extremely important to me, and I didn't want to deal with it at the time," she revealed.
Efya also disclosed that she has been consistently employed in the music industry for the past 15 years.
"Also, I've been working for 15 years without a break, and during that time I've performed on every show while still representing my company."
Beginning in 2011, she won four consecutive Ghana Music Awards for Best Female Vocal Performance.
