Shugatiti stated in a recent interview that she has charted a new path to redemption as opposed to her sultry, sensual, and sassy persona that has represented her brand ever since she became a mainstream sensation.
She disclosed in a YouTube interview that as she grew older and became more aware of her own personal development, she made a conscious decision to abandon certain habits and activities that were no longer consistent with her evolving self.
Shugatiti stated, "I have ceased certain activities because I am maturing and aging. Now I attend church, and shortly I will give birth, so I am undergoing a change." She emphasized that her decision to attend church regularly was solely her own and that she has taken the initiative to do so.
She disclosed that, despite being reared by her stepmother in the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC), she was born into the Assemblies of God. Therefore, she has opted to attend the Open Heavens branch of the ICGC in her community.
"...I attended church three weeks ago, two weeks ago, and last week." I just made the decision to leave, you know I need a new family...You know, I was born into assemblies, but my stepmother took me to ICGC, so I sat down and decided I would rather go to ICGC, and I had a chapter at Open Heavens in my area, so I went...The first time I went there, someone recognized me and asked, "Are you the one?" I responded affirmatively.
"Since I began, I haven't skipped … Nobody preached to me, and nobody persuaded me, because where I come from, we are not united in this way, so I needed a new family to whom I could turn in addition to worshiping God.
