I was returning home and felt something burn through my body, I didn't know it was live wire - Victim

Yetunde Ogundiya, a Lagos-based lady who survived but with Injuries after a live cable from an electricity pole fell on her, has been recently interviewed by Punch News and she narrated how everything happened. During this interview, Ogundiya stated that she was returning home and felt something burn through her body. She had no idea it was a live wire that cut loose and fell on her hand.

According to her, she just finished making her hair around 8 am on Monday, January 9 and was heading back home when the incident happened. She felt a burning sensation through her body which sent shivers down her body too. She didn't know it was a live wire that fell on her and immediately she passed out.

She went further to say that it was people around who helped call her friend and they ordered a ride that took her to the hospital. That was how she managed to survive.

She said, "I just finished braiding my hair and was going home when I felt a burning sensation through my body and shivers down my body. I had no idea it was a live wire that cut loose from its pole and fell on me as I fainted immediately.

"Luckily, those around when it happened called my friend and they got a ride that took me to the hospital. Immediately I regained consciousness I called my parents. That's how I survived".
