A local thief captured stealing in his own neighborhood has been given a novel form of punishment that has sparked controversy online.
Instead of receiving severe beatings, he was assigned a civilian job.
According to a video that has gone viral, the burglar was forced to clean the neighborhood's gutters.
According to the video's narration, he is on a three-month voyage to distill gutters in the hood.
He will be lodged at night before rising each morning to continue the civil construction.
