Joyce Bawa Mogtari, a senior aide to former Ghanaian President John Mahama, has dispelled rumors that her boss's convoy was involved in an accident while traversing the northern regions of the country.
She stated that a vehicle transporting regional executives of the NDC and a journalist ahead of the convoy hit a rough patch.
She stated that when the former president arrived at the accident site, his convoy came to a screeching halt and he exited his vehicle to assess the situation. This indicates that the distance between the advanced crew and the main convoy was minimal.
According to the assistant, the injured were transported to the Tamale Teaching hospital for treatment.
