The 37th Medical Center
The senior command of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has expressed concern over dwindling public confidence in the quality of healthcare at Accra's 37 Military Hospital.
It has therefore established a 12-member quality management committee to oversee the facility's service delivery quality.
Inaugurating the committee, the Chief of Defence Staff, Vice Admiral Seth Amoama, stated: "In recent years, we have received a number of complaints from the public regarding the quality of service, some of which have resulted in avoidable loss of life and a consequent loss of public confidence in the Ghana Armed Forces' services and facilities.
"In order to prevent this trend and restore public confidence in the Ghana Armed Forces' medical services, the military high command deemed it necessary to establish a committee to promote quality assurance for the enhancement of care at the Ghana Armed Forces' medical facility," he explained.
