Renowned attorney Maurice Ampaw is urging vice president Bawumia to choose Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum over Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh as his running colleague if he is nominated by the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
According to an accusation, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh asserts that people in the Ashanti Region, the NPP's stronghold, prefer party T-shirts to development.
On the Wontumi TV program 'Mmra Ne Abrabo Mu Nsem', attorney Maurice Ampaw advised Dr. Bawumia to refuse calls from his partner, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh alias Napo, due to the barrage of negatives his personality brings.
It is common knowledge that Napo is contending for the position of Bawumia's running mate, but Ampaw dismissed his ambitions, saying, "Your vice presidential ambitions have sunk, so find a seat."
According to him, the Minister for Education is the most qualified candidate to serve as vice president Bawumia's running mate if he becomes the next NPP nominee.
"We are demanding the education minister, and if you look at him, you can tell that God has anointed him. He should position Bawumia to succeed. This is my perspective, he said.
