Police in Wakiso district has arrested a man identified as Lusimbo Lawrence for raping and impregnating his 14-year-old daughter.
Lusimbo Lawrence, 45, an in-charge defence officer at Busukuma Sub-county in Wakiso district, was arrested for allegedly raping and impregnating his daughter.
According to the girl, she is three months pregnant with her biological father.
According to the girl, the father used to send her younger siblings for airtime as he slept with her.
She said the father got her pregnant for the first time, and he took her, to the hospital where they aborted the pregnancy. However, when she came back from school for the holidays, her father used her again.
She noted that after the father occasionally slept with her, she decided to leave their home and go and stay with the Maternal grandmother.
"When I returned to school, I was tested for pregnancy, and I was found pregnant." "My father came, picked me up, and took me to the hospital, where they aborted the pregnancy, and I returned to school," she said.
Furthermore, the girl also revealed that whenever the father could send her younger siblings, he could use the excuse of saying he wanted to put some local hubs on her private parts only to rape her.
She also noted that, after her father raped her, he warned her never to tell anyone about it or else she would face the consequences.
The suspect has been charged with aggravated defilement.
According to the police annual report for 2022, the cases of parents defiling their children have been on the rise.
