A man named Julius Kipkorir died in Takitech village after attempting to meet with his married lover in the early morning hours. Kipkorir arrived at the woman's house at around 3 am and called out to her to open the door, unaware that her husband was home and awake.
The husband was awoken by Kipkorir's calls and confronted him when he knocked on the door again. A physical altercation ensued, and Kipkorir was left with life-threatening injuries. The woman fled the home to a nearby farm, and the village sub-chief and local elders intervened to calm the situation.
The woman's husband was arrested and is being held at Abossi police station while authorities prepare appropriate charges. The incident has reportedly caused a stir in the community, with the intervention of the village sub-chief and elders being necessary to restore calm.
