Men, Be Careful! This is what the Bible says about marrying more than one wife

Since the Bible is God's word, it instructs Christians on how to respond to a broad variety of circumstances.

Not only does it establish the norms we must keep as God's children, but it also serves as a reminder that God is a loving Father.

There are many things to learn from the Bible, but for the time being, let's just stick to what it has to say about polygamy.

Culture, romantic desires or infertility in the female partner are just a few of the many reasons a man could feel pressured to marry more than one woman.

Women in polygamous partnerships are more likely to experience feelings of isolation and jealousy. Several wives were common among biblical personalities, including Abraham and Elkana. Both Hannah and Peninnah were married in private ceremonies.

"A bishop thus must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good demeanour, dedicated to hospitality, apt to teach," it states in 1 Timothy 3.

Incontestably, this demonstrates that monogamy is the relationship type that God prefers among Believers.

A verse in 1 Corinthians 7:2 counters this view, saying, "Let every man have his wife, and let every woman have her husband, so that there may be no more immorality." Jesus makes it abundantly plain in Luke 16:18 that a man who marries more than one woman is committing adultery.
