I had no notion what was going on at the time and questioned my husband frequently. This occurred nearly a decade ago, when I was in my 30s and had just married my spouse. Even before we were married, he worked hard, so I anticipated a difficult existence with him. However, he never stayed away from home for so long that I felt lonely.

Initially, I attempted to allow my spouse to relax at home during his rare visits, but my frustration grew. Whenever I saw his visage, I became abrasive with him.

My spouse would attempt to comfort me, but if he observed that I was still dissatisfied, he began ignoring me. We were married, so I wanted him to gaze at me regardless of how busy he was with his work. This emotion overwhelmed me, and I could no longer view my spouse objectively.

Every time I got into an argument with my husband, he would say, "I'm going to settle down soon, and then we'll go to that island you like." But this never occurred. Is it not true that work was more essential than I? I stated, "In that case, do not compel yourself to return home. I'm exhausted as well, and seeing you so happy makes me melancholy.
