Janet Mwihaki a mother of three has narrated how her husband burnt her in public and ran away after she refused to go back to him, her face was badly damaged.
According to Janet is that she schooled up to class eight after her parents divorced and her mother couldn't afford to pay her school fees, she went to her Aunt's place which had a hotel and started working there as a waitress.
While there she met a man and they became lovers, they dated for three months and she moved in with him and they started living as husband and wife. They have blessed with three kids and life was good until she gave birth to her thirdborn.
Janet says that her husband started to bring girls into their matrimonial bed and beat her Infront of them, she decided to run away and rented a house with her three kids but her husband kept on following her to go back to him but she was tired of his behaviours.
She says that one day her husband followed her with a knife as she was going to the market and wanted to stab her but she was able to run away. She moved from that area and went to another town but her husband followed her again.
Janet says that one day as she was in town her husband attacked her from behind and pour petrol on her and heats a matchbox on her and he ran away, she was helped by people passing by but her face was already burnt. She stayed in the hospital for two years while being treated.
After she was discharged and her mother and sisters went to pick her up in the hospital they didn't want to associate with her, they would hide her in the house since she was still weak and they didn't want people to see her. she decided to leave and was helped by her pastor to rent a house where she has been living with her three kids.
She says that her husband has never been arrested and he is still roaming freely, she is now requesting well-wishers to help her raise money to start her own business since no employer wants to employ her because of her face.
