Okyeame Kwame Opens Up On His Religious Life

Ghanaian artiste Kwame Nsiah-Apau, aka Okyeame Kwame has disclosed his spiritual and religious beliefs.

Okyeame Kwame opposes Christianity and professes omnist beliefs.

During an interview, Okyeame Kwame confessed to Kwame Dadzie that he does not identify with any particular religion. Instead, he regards himself as an omnist who finds inspiration and faith in a variety of religious traditions.

Okyeame Kwame no longer identifies as a committed Christian, despite being born and trained in the Christian faith, attending a Methodist church, and adopting Christian values during his formative years.

He added that as an adult, he had adopted an omnist viewpoint, valuing many aspects of various religions.

I was reared as a Christian until I was approximately 14 years old. I was born into the Methodist Church as a Christian. My primary values are Christian. My father was an observant Catholic.

"Because my mother attended a Methodist church, I participated in catechism and comparable activities throughout my childhood. Having attended an Anglican school, the majority of my social interactions have been with Christians. However, I do not believe that I can completely identify as a Christian as an adult. "I consider myself an omniscient," he declared.

The Rap Dacta continued by stating that he adheres to African tradition when it comes to respecting nature, trees, and rivers; Buddhism when it comes to the Buddhist teaching that you should love your neighbor as yourself; Christianity when it comes to the teaching that you should love your neighbor as yourself; and he becomes a Muslim due to his extreme respect for God and love for him.

Okyeame Kwame emphasized that he avoids limiting himself to a singular faith on purpose so that he can draw upon the values and knowledge found in various worldviews.

When asked about his faith in Jesus Christ, he elaborated on his perspective on the concept of faith in general. He emphasized the importance of knowledge and empirical evidence and stated that the word "belief" can be detrimental.

"Because I was not there, I cannot address the question of whether to believe in Jesus Christ. 2000 years ago, this event occurred. I have no means of knowing whether or not that actually occurred. "I know that if I live my life like Jesus Christ, I will be a better person," he said in the interview.

Okyeame Kwame began his investigation into various religions in January 2023, when he encountered Sadhguru, the founder of the Insha Foundation, in India.

The Insha Foundation operates an ashram and a yoga studio where spiritual and educational programs are offered.

In addition to his spiritual path, Okyeame Kwame is deeply devoted to advocating for environmental protection. He is a Climate Clock Ambassador and considers environmental protection to be one of humanity's most essential responsibilities.

In order to underscore his commitment to eco-friendly and sustainable practices, Okyeame Kwame is also promoting his "Love Equation" boxer shorts, which are made from coconut fiber.

As he adopts an omnist viewpoint, drawing inspiration from multiple religions while concurrently emphasizing the importance of environmental conservation, he has concluded that his religious orientation transcends a single faith.
