Phone Sex: What couples should know about phone Sex: Benefits and risks

Fri, 27 Jan 2023 Source: CHRIS NEWS MEDIA

" Do you sext with your partner?"

Phone Sex is also known as sexting. The only two answers to the above question is a Yes or No and these answers will depend on the person's knowledge or experience in sexting. Sexting is simply sending explicit, sexual or flirty messages from your phone or electronic device to another's.

Sexting can be in the form of texts, pictures or videos. Sexting is great for couples who always want to remind themselves of their need for each other in distant times. Even between couples, sexting should be consensual and not forced on your partner.

Though sexting can be pleasurable between couples when done right, it is one risky thing to do if it's not done with the right person.

Before you and your partner decide to spice your relationship by texting each other sexual messages, you should consider the maturity level of your partner and how trustworthy they are and not just that but also how open-minded your partner is. To make it safe, couples should consider the kind of platform that will provide maximum safety and also remember to delete or hide such explicit content. I iterate, trust plays a major role here.

Sexting does have some benefits like helping to spice up intimacy between couples. Couples could be far or near but a simple text of how badly you want your partner will send him or her running back home.

Not just that, it will have your partner's desire for you shoot higher up thereby having their minds filled with you all day long. Sexting is a great deal for shy couples because you can say naughty things to your partner over the phone without being shy than you can say in person. Another benefit of sexting is higher sexual satisfaction between couples.

Sexting has disadvantages too. Firstly, your sext can be used to blackmail you if you and your partner ever break up. Secondly, your partner can without your permission save it on their devices and share it with others.

Again, having your nudes on the internet or your explicit messages shared with other people can lead to bullying and harassment. This can take a toll on your mental health. It could also lead to loss of reputation, job, friends and family. It is up to couples in a committed relationship who trust each other to decide and agree to sext by weighing the benefits and risks.
