Recently, a Reddit user described his experience of being denied meals and forced to delete all wedding photographs from his memory card.
He acknowledged that he was not a professional photographer despite having taken numerous photographs. His friend, cash-strapped and unable to employ a photographer, begged him to photograph his wedding for GHC2,500.
With some hesitation, the photographer agreed. He was scheduled to work from 11:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. In addition to filming and photographing the ceremony, he accompanied the bride as she greeted each visitor individually and took photographs of them all as they walked around.
Around five o'clock, everyone began dining, and the photographer asked if he could join them. At that time, the groom warned the photographer not to take a break and to continue taking pictures, or else he would be asked to depart without payment.
He claimed that he deleted all the photographs to teach the groom a lesson because he was angry, exhausted, and irritated.
As his final statement, he wrote, "I deleted all the photos I had taken of him and stated that I was no longer his photographer." If I had been paid $250 at that time, all I would have required would have been a glass of cool water and a place to rest for five minutes.
