The sad part is that most of the unlicensed firearms in South Africa are utilized for criminal activity, sometimes leading to the capture and killing of innocent individuals for reasons they were not even aware of.

The government doesn't appear to have any plans to ensure that this nation is a gun-free nation, and since some guns are used in robberies, the statistics on people killed by firearms will only continue to rise.

A 27-year-old woman named Jeri has now become part of this nation's rapidly rising death toll.

According to reports, Keri was shot dead after eating with her boyfriend and a friend. As they prepared to leave the restaurant, an unknown assailant opened fire, instantly killing Keri.

According to reports, the assassins were allegedly targeting a witness who held some incriminating evidence against an infamous gang in that part of the province. They wanted to make sure that they killed the witness in an effort to destroy the evidence; unfortunately for Keri, she was in the wrong place at the wrong time and was shot to death.

"On November 9th, a 27-year-old woman named Keri Bloem from Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, was shot and died. Men opened fire on Keri, her boyfriend, and a friend as they were leaving a restaurant. According to a police report that was leaked a few days prior, the shooters planned to kill any potential witnesses who were inside the restaurant, but instead they started shooting at Keri. The intended victim is thought to be connected to the renowned Wentworth Cartel gang, which is engaged in a brutal drug war with other gangs there "reports imply.

It turns out that there was a gang war in progress when innocent individuals were killed in the KwaZulu-Natal Province and the Western Cape, which are notorious for their gang-related crimes.
