Cases of suicide in Africa have been reported in different parts of the continent. Many children have been left orphaned, and families have been left mourning. Depression is one of the reasons that has been linked to most deaths.
A 60-year-old man in Kirinyaga committed suicide after he found that his wife was having an affair with a 22-year-old man.
His brother, who spoke to Citizen TV, revealed that the man had shown signs of stress in the last few days.
The brother revealed that he tried to reach up to him, but he was unable to, so he decided to go to his house to check up. The brother, together with the man's children, broke down the house window and found the man's body hanging from the roof.
The residents condemned the woman's act despite the two having three children together.
