Piesie Esther Veteran gospel musician Some social media users have referred to Piesie Esther as an elderly musician, which has upset her.

According to the 'Wa ye Me Yie' artist, there is no set retirement age in the music industry.

The assault on Piesie Esther's character began after she received seven nominations at the 24th Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA), including Best Artiste of the Year.

The most anticipated awards ceremony will take place at the Accra International Conference Center on Saturday, May 6, 2023.

Piesie Esther stated on Kingdom FM that it is unfortunate that people refer to her as an elderly musician, particularly in the context of the 2023 Grammy Awards, where she is nominated for Best Artiste of the Year.

She emphasized that, as a human, the 'old musician' label pains her deeply.

Piesie Esther began her music career in her early 20s and continues to be active in the music industry.

She is the owner of tunes such as "Hwehwe Me Mu," "Wobdi Adanse," "Okuraseni Moburonii," "Empareme," "Maseda Kse, Odimafo," and "Me Nte Ase."

The songs 'Empareme,' 'Me Nte Ase,' 'Okuraseni Moburonii,' and 'Wa ye Me Yie' brought her to prominence and earned her seven nominations at the 24th VGMA.
