Mr. Adom stated that patrons would get their money's value this year, as the team had strived to accomplish something exceptional in order to put on a great show.

After Inspections of the event grounds revealed that preparations were well underway, with the stage installation 90 percent complete, and that some of the evening's performers had already conducted sound checks.

The VGMAs will be conducted at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre.

This evening will feature performances by Sarkodie, Blacko, Kidi, Piesie Esther, Medikal, Epixode, Lasmid, Gyakie Kwabena Kwabena, and other renowned artists.

Organised in partnership with the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) and under the auspices of the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards scheme, now in its twenty-fourth year, has evolved into a festival of music and entertainment that engages the entire nation and beyond.

It is produced by the event management company Charterhouse in collaboration with the telecommunications company Vodafone to recognize and honor musicians and other music industry professionals whose work generated the most public interest during the scheme's calendar year.

The awards provide an international forum for accessing the Ghanaian music industry and recognize veteran musicians who have paved the way in the music industry.

The VGMAs Festival is primarily a people's choice awards program that seeks to promote the growth of the Ghanaian music industry by rewarding and recognizing musicians who have excelled in the seven main music genres of Ghanaian music, including Gospel, Hip-Life, Hip-Hop, Highlife, Afrobeats, Reggae/Dancehall, and Traditional.

Their music should have been issued and prominent during the period under consideration.

The Award Scheme has become the benchmark by which Ghanaian musicians gauge their success each year.
