WARNING! Here are 3 side effects of eating cat fish in excess

According to Publichealth, even though many people enjoy eating catfish for its nutritional benefits, there are drawbacks to doing so on a regular basis.

All catfish eaters should be aware of the potential negative outcomes of eating too much catfish, as listed below.

Mercury poisoning as a potential hazard.

Most catfish caught in polluted waters will have absorbed an unsafe level of Mercury; when this mercury accumulates in the fish as methylmercury, it becomes highly toxic to humans when consumed in large quantities.

Overconsumption of fish high in methylmercury can cause serious health problems, including damage to the digestive system, kidneys, and lungs.

Stroke and heart attack are the results. Consuming an excessive amount of catfish, which is rich in the Omega six (6) fat, has been linked to an increased risk of hypertension and subsequent heart attack or stroke.

Since the skin of catfish contains a high amount of oil and polyunsaturated, if you eat too much of it, the oil and polyunsaturated will find their way into your bloodstream.
