In Sehwi Bekwai, a man was set ablaze for denigrating the suspect's wife.
Dandu Painter, age 35, is accused of setting a 39-year-old man on fire in Sehwi Bekwai, Bibiani Anhweso Bekwai municipality, Western North Region.
This is said to have occurred because the deceased Kofi Kumi allegedly insulted Dandu's wife's intimate parts.
According to Adom News, Kofi Kumi visited a drinking establishment and consumed intoxicating beverages without paying for them.
The bartender notified Dandu Painter's wife that she could collect her money from the deceased, resulting in an altercation between the two parties that had to be resolved by their families.
However, individuals in the area began to mock and ridicule Kofi Kumi, going so far as to disparage Painter's wife.
Dandu Painter is believed to have purchased gasoline and turpentine to set fire to Kofi Kuma in retaliation.
Kofi was transported to the Green Shield Hospital in Sehwi Bekwai, but he was declared deceased upon arrival.
Yaa Foriwaa, the mother of the deceased, has requested that Dandu Painter be apprehended and brought to justice by the Sehwi Bekwai Police Command and the Inspector-General of Police.
The deceased's body has been transported to Sehwi Ahweso Hospital for preservation.
