A group of boys, suspected of participating in money rituals, caused a commotion in Nkurakan, Yilo Krobo Municipality, Eastern Region, when they dumped a box containing a snake in the center of the street.
The three individuals, believed to be between the ages of 19 and 25, are said to have exited from a Honda Civic to return the serpent to the ritualist after it failed to vomit money within 30 days as instructed.
According to information gathered, the enraged boys confessed that they were given the serpent at the same location where they abandoned it, with the explanation that it did not produce money despite their sacrifices.
According to reports, the ritualist instructed them to feed the serpent with eggs and other items so that it would vomit money in various currencies.
However, after thirty days had passed, no money appeared.
Residents were drawn to the scene as the lads managed to escape.
A man claiming to be the ritualist has retrieved the box containing the alleged money-spitting serpent.
The police were summoned to the scene, but neither boy nor the ritualist could be located.
The district police command has initiated a manhunt and an investigation into the peculiar incident.
