NDC National Chairman Johnson Asiedu Nketia stated that the party has not received any new injunction requests against the presidential and parliamentary elections.

At a press conference on Friday, May 13, Mr. Asoiedu Nketia stated, "We haven't heard of any recent injunctions; all we know is that someone in Abuakwa South complained about an issue and met with his lawyers."

According to reports, the High Court has received a second injunction application challenging the NDC's presidential and parliamentary elections.

Edgar Asamoah Boateng, a member of the NDC, is in court to prevent the party from holding elections on Saturday.

The lack of a sufficient photo album of qualified electors, he claims, has caused significant animosity and hostility within the party.

His attorneys are requesting "an order of interlocutory injunction to restrain the Defendants/Respondents, its officers or agents or otherwise howsoever from holding the primary elections for the Nomination of Presidential and Parliamentary Candidates of the Party on 13 May 2023 pending the determination of the suit herein as per grounds deposed to in the accompanying affidavit and for any further orders the Honorable Court may deem fit."

This occurs only several hours after

His attorneys informed the court on Friday, May 12 that their client had instructed them to drop the case.

Director of Legal Affairs of the NDC Abraham Amaliba, who was present in court, told reporters, "We are aware that the case has been dropped; Dr. Duffuor's attorneys informed the court that they had received instructions to drop the case, and as we speak, the case has been dropped."
