We will not delay Saturday's primary elections – NDC to Kwabena Duffuor
Mustapha Gbande, the Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has stated that the party will not postpone its primaries scheduled for this Saturday, despite the requests of Dr. Kwabena Duffuor
Gbande stated that the 13 May primaries are credible, contrary to what the former finance minister's campaign team claims.
Gbande stated that "the claims in the letter are false" and that "reports that the party has not responded to him are incorrect and false."
He added, however, that the party's leadership is committed to addressing any concerns expressed by a candidate or party member in order to preserve the fairness and credibility of the primaries.
"Leadership is committed to resolving all issues raised so that a credible election can be held."
The credibility of these elections is beyond reproach, the processes are sufficiently transparent, and we are committed to administering credible elections that are beyond reproach.
Gbande added that the party is adhering to each and every provision of its constitution to guarantee free and fair presidential and parliamentary primaries.
