Teresia Wangeci was born and raised in Narok. Her mother was a single mother and she had four siblings. She never attended school and her life was difficult because her mother couldn't provide her with a good life.
She says that when she was fifteen years she got a job as a househelp and she was able to save some money. After a few months, she left the job and went back home to venture into a business. She was staying at home she met a young man and they got married.
She says that she got pregnant soon after and gave birth nine months later. She didn't use family planning medication and she got pregnant again when her child was six months old. Two tears later she got pregnant again and this angered her husband.
She says that he failed to come home on coucountlessmes and he had extextramaritalfairs. She decided to find a job and one day n her way back home from work shashes involved in an accident. She claims that the accident injured her legs and spine and she stayed in the host capital for months. After she was discharged the doctors told her husband not to be intimate with her until she spespendaled and he agreed.
She was taken home and her husband worsened he brought different women home and slept with the in the house where she slept with her children. She confronted him about his behaviour he justified his actions by claiming that he needed his conjugal rights.
After a while, her husband stopped coming home and he stayed for months without coming back . one day he came home and found her lying in bed as per the docdoctor'sstructions. He came and forcefully slept with her which was against the docdoctor'sstructions.
"My husband forcefully slept with me when I was bedridden and it was very painful.",eresia says.
She was in a lot of pain but she couldn't defend herself. He did this on different occasions and her condition turned from bad to worse when we she realized that he had forgotten pregnant. By good luck,r condition improved and she was on bed rest for nine months.
She gave birth a d decidedecidedave her marriage. When she was able to walk and work she rented a house far from home and started a new life. She vowed never to get married or involve herself in a relationship again.
