The Committee also asked Mr. Ken Ofori-Atta to tell them how much was paid to the consulting firm Messers Sir David Adjaye and Associates, how much was paid to Independent Power Producers (IPPs), and how much debt had been built up before 2020.

The Ministry said that a total of 17.31 billion was paid to IPPs.

Karpower, Cenpower, Amandi Energy, Sunon Asogli, Ameri Energy, and AKSA are some of the IPPs that got these payments.

Out of the total amount, 10.01 billion was used to make up for a shortfall in capacity, 4.99 billion was used to make up for an excess of capacity, and 7.31 billion was used to pay fuel suppliers for the time period mentioned.
