58-year-old twins married to cousins from same village reveal why they can never be separated

Quieter Jane, the family's youngest child, is five minutes older than Alice, according to her mother.

"Our mother struggled; she employed two housekeepers for us. If one of us got sick, we both got sick. When we were growing up, they had to make sure everything was equal," Alice said in a video posted on Eve Mungai's YouTube channel.

Her father could not tell the difference between Alice and Jane, although her mother could.

They don't spend most of their time with the children, according to Jane.

They were best friends when they were young; they went to the same school and always got the same grades.

Their father sent them to different schools because he felt they needed to be independent.

I used to get sick just from seeing them, so he regretted it," Jane said.

"We were used to working and studying together, but now we were sent to separate schools with different subjects. Torture, she continued.

Later, the two enrolled in the same college and were employed by the same hospital.

Little did Alice know that her sister would also marry into his family after she met a handsome man and the two got married.

Jane and Alice are married to cousins.

We are married to cousins; although we spend our evenings apart, we are together during the day because we both work in the same institution," Alice added.

When Jane's husband was alive, they used to play practical jokes on spouses who had trouble telling them apart, but now he is late.

Despite the fact that they are both 58, Alice and Jane still wear the same clothes.

"We wore the same clothes growing up, so it's in us. For example, if I'm in a shop and I see the same thing, I'll buy it for my sister," says Alice.
