A lot of people think that Jesus didn't collect offerings when he was on earth, but Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, the General Overseer of Christ Embassy Church, says otherwise. He shared a Bible passage to support his claim that Jesus did collect offerings during his ministry.
In the video on the Christ Embassy Facebook page, he pointed out that women, the twelve disciples, and many others followed Jesus, and an offering was collected from them. He referred to Luke 8:3, which talks about how Joanna, the wife of Herod's steward Chuza, and Susanna, along with many others, ministered to Jesus with their substance.
Pastor Oyakhilome explained that the substance mentioned in this verse is the offering that people gave to Jesus. He also revealed that Judas was Jesus' treasurer and was in charge of collecting offerings. Since Jesus came in the form of a man, he needed money to buy things, even though he wasn't working.
