A couple has been accused of shoplifting in Kasoa, in the Awutu-Senya East Municipality. On Monday, they were almost killed at CP, which is near Kasoa.
The couple, both in their 40s, were caught shoplifting.
Their modus operandi was that the couple would arrange with a motorcycle rider and while one person would engage the vendor to buy something, the other would take valuable items such as mobile phones and hand them over to the rider.
But on Monday, the couple's luck ran out. They were caught and almost lynched, but the Kasoa Divisional Patrol Team rescued them and took them to the police station for questioning.
