On Friday, May 5th, 2023, the High Court in Accra will make a final determination on the contempt case brought against Samuel Okudjeto Ablakwa, the North Tongu lawmaker.

Mr. Ablakwa revealed this information in a Facebook post on April 13th, 2023. He also stated that the Commission for Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) is continuing its investigation into the conflict of interest petition involving Rev Victor Kusi Boateng and Kwabena Adu Gyamfi, for which he submitted additional documentation on March 9th, 2023.

Furthermore, Mr. Ablakwa warned Ghanaians to expect new National Cathedral scandals in the coming days, and added that "The Son of Man shall not be silenced!"

The contempt application against him was filed by Kwabena Adu Gyamfi's lawyers after he allegedly disregarded an interim injunction obtained in relation to a defamation suit.

However, on February 21st, 2023, the court noted that the law maker had not been properly served in regards to the contempt application, and directed Rev Kusi Boateng's lawyers to file the necessary processes with the Speaker of Parliament.

Mr. Ablakwa is accusing Rev Kusi Boateng of having a double identity and a conflict of interest with regards to some monies paid to his company for the construction of the National Cathedral. He claims that Rev Kusi Boateng has different names, mothers, and dates of birth on various national IDs such as passports and Ghana cards.

Rev Kusi Boateng secured a 10-day injunction on February 3rd, 2023, preventing Mr. Ablakwa from disclosing any more of his private documents, correspondence, and communication.
