After Ghana lost 3:2 to Portugal, President Akufo-Addo and the Black Stars were in the news for all the wrong reasons. Many Ghanaians think that an animation about the President's decision to go to Qatar to cheer on the black stars is a sign of bad luck.
Ghanaians were angry to hear that the President of the Republic had left the country for Qatar at the expense of the country when other world leaders never did this.
While many world leaders whose economies were doing well stayed at home and sent e-mails of best wishes, Ghana's president decided to go to Qatar, which meant that the struggling economy had to spend hard-earned money it didn't have to do this.
