Akufo-Addo Is A Pretender, He Has Failed In The Galamsey Fight – NPP Communicator

Fri, 28 Apr 2023 Source: Club Mate

In a recent interview on Accra-based Original 91.9 FM, Lawyer Appiah Danquah, a leading member of the communication team of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), expressed his disappointment in President Akufo-Addo and his administration for their inability to combat illegal mining, also known as galamsey.

Danquah accused the President of being a pretender and failing in his duty to end the menace. He claims that the Akufo-Addo-led administration lacks genuine commitment and political will to combat galamsey and that some top officials within the ruling party are compromising the government's efforts.

Danquah believes that the President must immediately apologize to Ghanaians for his failure to put an end to galamsey activities. He stressed the importance of protecting the country's territories from unauthorized small-scale miners to preserve the nation's cultural legacy for future generations.

Danquah also criticized the President for his lack of action and accused him of specializing in talk without backing it up with deeds. He urged President Akufo-Addo to comprehend the significant responsibilities of the high office he currently holds, as he serves as both the head of state and the supreme commander of the armed forces of Ghana. Danquah blamed the government's big guns for rendering the fight against illegal mining fruitless and accused the government of being the rationale behind the rampant activities of illegal mining in the country.
