Rose's story will make you cry as she tells how her husband, the first man she ever got engaged to, left her with three kids and a deep depression that made her give in to self-pleasure several times in just one day.
Rose was born in Muranga County. She says that she comes from a very poor family and that her parents couldn't pay for her school fees.
After she finished primary school, she moved to Nairobi to work as a house help.
Rose said that while she was working in Nairobi, she met a young man with whom she fell quickly in love.
Rose got pregnant right away, and the two of them moved in together. Rose had her first child, and then two years later she had another one.
Rose says that her husband is a big drinker, but she used to sell fruits and vegetables and do other odd jobs in her neighborhood.
But when Rose's second son was a year old, things changed around the house because she was pregnant again with her third child.
Rose said that her husband didn't want another child, so he started to treat her badly. When Rose asked him for money, he would come home drunk and beat her. Because of this, Rose started stealing from him when he was drunk to make ends meet.
After nine months, Rose went into labor. She was taken to the hospital, where she had a boy. Rosenever saw her husband, and that's when she realized he had left her in the hospital alone.
Rose says that she called her parents and they offered to pay for her medical bills. She was then let go from the hospital. Rose was angry that her husband had left her and their children.
She said that he never called or came to see them.
Rose said she hated all men, and she was afraid of getting back into a relationship, so she started to please herself. The action started as a one-time thing, but it turned into a habit over time.
"I'd give myself pleasure six times a day." Rose said.
Her addiction has gotten so bad that she is asking anyone who will help her for professional help. Rose said she can't work well anymore because she only thinks about herself, even during the day.
