Angry Mob Set Fire On The House Of Neighborhood Watch Chairperson

Residents of Manase Township in Blantyre, who were upset about the death of an unknown man on Monday, set fire to the home of the neighborhood watch chairperson.

In an interview with the press, Blantyre Police Spokesperson Peter Mchiza confirmed the news, saying that the event took place on Tuesday morning.

Mchiza says that the angry villagers thought that the neighborhood chair had gotten his people to beat the victim to death, and they wanted to get back at him.

"Angry villagers burned down the house after they couldn't catch the suspects," Mchiza said in an interview.

The police ran to the scene to calm things down.

So far, no one has been taken into custody because of the fight.
