A man from Kenya's Vihiga County has said that he stabbed and killed a 43-year-old woman because the person who hired him to do it didn't pay him.

The killer said that a woman hired her to kill the person, who was said to be her friend.
So, on Sunday, January 15, he went to the Mbale Police Station and told them that his partner wouldn't pay him Sh20,000 for helping him carry out a plan to kill someone.
Benjamin Ong'ombe, who is in charge of police in Vihiga County, confirmed what happened on Saturday, January 21. He also said that two people have been arrested for murder.
The head of the police told The Standard that the killer admitted that he had been paid to kill a middle-aged woman in Sahini Village, Sabatia Constituency, for reasons that are not clear.
"He told the police at the Mbale station that the person who hired him to kill a woman from Sahini refused to pay him after he killed his target," Ong'ombe said.
"He said that he stabbed the 43-year-old victim in the neck, killing her right away. He was very angry that the woman who had hired him wouldn't pay him. He went to the Mbale Police Station and filed a report so that his co-defendant would have to pay him. "He admitted to doing it," Ong'ombe said.
Police said that the man led them to an empty house where they found the body of the victim in a pool of blood.
"When he said he killed someone, we thought he was joking at first. "When we found out that he had done the crime, we were shocked," said Ong'ombe.
At the scene of the murder, police found a knife that they think was used to kill the person.
The body of the person who died was taken to the morgue at Vihiga County Referral Hospital.
Police still don't know why the suspect was hired to kill the victim, who was 43 years old.
The victim's sister told police that she knew the woman who allegedly paid the male suspect to kill her sibling.
The suspect and the victim were friends, the sister said, and the victim sometimes helped the suspect with housework.
"The suspect loaned money to my sister, but she didn't pay it back on time. "The suspect could have killed her because of the debt," said a sibling of the person who died.
The family of the person who died is now calling for justice.
