Ishaq Kyei Brobbey, a well-respected university lecturer and a prominent member of the Muslim community, has expressed concern about some recent statements made by former President John Mahama.

According to a report by Wontumi Online, Mr. Kyei Brobbey is troubled by the insulting nature of these statements and the examples that Mr. Mahama has been citing.

During an interview on the Wontumi Morning Show, Mr. Kyei Brobbey revealed that he had watched a video of Mr. Mahama mocking the people of Dagbon and Mamprugu for their chieftaincy succession conflicts. The former President reportedly visited his hometown of Gonja and commented that he was happy to come from there because they are able to find a replacement for their chief without any conflict when he passes away.

Mr. Kyei Brobbey views this statement as an indirect insult to the people of Dagbon and Mamprugu, implying that they lack the ability to enskin a new chief without any conflict. He believes that Mr. Mahama was deliberately targeting these regions with chieftaincy issues.

This is not the first time that Mr. Mahama has been accused of making insulting remarks.

Recently, he was criticized for comments he made during a tour of the Eastern region where he allegedly disparaged the people of Ashanti by implying that they blindly support the NPP without thinking.

Mr. Kyei Brobbey's concern over Mr. Mahama's statements highlights the need for public figures to be mindful of their language and avoid making comments that could be perceived as insulting or divisive.
