They eat each other. As a way to get back at the dead, they also eat their flesh. They don't think of death as a normal thing. They think it's because of a bad spirit. In their community, it is a tradition to eat their people.
The only tribe that still eats people is the Korowai, also called Kolofu. In the past, many tribes ate their people, but all of those tribes have died out. The Korowai eat many different things, including frogs, spiders, snakes, crocodiles, and more. They also eat yams, yam roots, and jungle fruits. The Korowai didn't know about the rest of the world until the 1990s.
Men are separated from boys, who join as they learn to hunt, while girls get married when they reach puberty. As they get older, they learn about the tribe's history and ways of life.
