Charles Adu Boahen's employment with the Finance Ministry has been terminated by President of the Republic Nana Akuffo-Addo.
This is in response to Charles Adu Boahen being implicated in a controversy by Anas Aremeyaw Anas in his exposé "Galamsey Economy."
Ameyaw Anas In an excerpt from his exposé, Anas posted on social media, Mr. Boahen was seen accusing Vice President Dr. Bawumia.
Charles Adu Boahen claimed in the video that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the vice president, requires US$2,000,000 as an appearance fee to encourage foreign investment.
“You mean, like appearance fees and stuff? I mean he, himself (the vice president), if you give him some (USD) 200,000 or something as a token, as thank you, appreciation, that’s fine.
He’s not really, he’s not really (like) that. All he needs is to worry about his campaign money in 2022”, he revealed.
In a press release, Dr. Bawumia demanded that Charles Boahen's appointment to the Finance Ministry be immediately terminated.
Nana Aba Anamoah responded to this in a recent Facebook post by requesting that Dr. Bawumia give Charles a sound slap to reset his brains.
