Sunday, November 27, 2022: Police are hot on the trail of two young women who are thought to have drugged a Kirinyaga businessman after he got drunk in Kagio town.
Samuel Irungu, a 59-year-old trader, was found dead at his home on Thursday morning. The Kiamaciri Police Station was told about the death.
Irungu was seen having drinks with two women in a bar on Wednesday night.
After that, he bought some beers to go and left the club with the women to go to his house.
The cruel women are thought to have given him drugs and stolen money and other things from him before getting away without being seen.
On Thursday morning, his family found his naked body in his bed.
In the house, his personal papers were all over the floor, and his wallet was empty.
"When we went into the house, there were bottles of beer on the table, clothes, and an empty wallet," his brother said.
"When we went into the bedroom, we found Irungu dead, and we figured that the two women, who we thought were from Nairobi, probably drugged him," the dead man's brother said.
When the accident happened, Irungu's wife was not home.
"After what happened to my husband, I'm still in shock," she said.
