Christians Who Think They Can Fight Against Principalities And Powers Are Wrong - Rev. Father

Mon, 12 Jun 2023 Source: Club Mate

Reverend Father Oluoma Chinenye John, popularly known as Fada Oluoma, is the esteemed Priest leading the Catholic Archdiocese of Abuja. In a recent sermon, he addressed his congregation with a friendly and enlightening message. Fada Oluoma emphasized that Christians who believe they can personally confront and overcome principalities and powers are mistaken. He explained that throughout the Bible, God consistently employed angels, rather than humans, when engaging in battles against these spiritual entities.

In a heartfelt video, Reverend Father Oluoma shared his insights, saying, "If we carefully examine the teachings of the Bible, we will notice certain recurring patterns in the way God operates." He drew attention to the example of Lucifer, who was an angel that turned away from God. When God confronted Lucifer, He enlisted the assistance of Archangel Michael to defeat him. This reveals that even in the face of Satan and his minions, God relied on the aid of angels.

Today, there are Christians who consider themselves as "warrior Christians" and seek conflict with principalities and powers. However, Reverend Father Oluoma highlighted that there is no account in the Bible of individuals opposing these spiritual forces on their own. God did not send humans to confront places where demons or principalities and powers were present; instead, He sent angels. Fada Oluoma also reminded his congregation of the incident when Jesus reprimanded Peter for cutting off the soldier's ear during His arrest. Jesus clarified that if He needed someone to fight for Him, He would have requested His Father (God) to send angels. This serves as a gentle admonition to Christians who believe they can single-handedly challenge the world's most powerful forces.

In conclusion, Reverend Father Oluoma's sermon sheds light on the biblical principle that God employs angels, rather than humans, when engaging in battles against principalities and powers. He emphasizes that Christians who consider themselves capable of confronting these spiritual forces are mistaken. Fada Oluoma's words serve as a reminder of the divine assistance available to believers and encourage them to trust in God's provision when facing such challenges.
