It has been revealed that the young seamstress who passed away in her boyfriend's room in Atwima-Agogo, in the Ashanti Region was attempting to terminate her pregnancy according to reports. The suspect, identified as Kwadwo Rabbi, allegedly gave the deceased, Martha Wiafe, a concoction to induce an abortion. Unfortunately, she began bleeding and eventually died as a result.
Despite her desire to keep the pregnancy, the suspect attempted to force her to have an abortion on multiple occasions. Eventually, he mixed the concoction into a drink and gave it to her, which resulted in her death. Realizing the severity of his actions, Kwadwo Rabbi tried to kill himself by drinking poison but was rescued by the police and taken into custody to assist with investigations.
Martha Wiafe's body has been deposited at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital morgue for autopsy, while the suspect is being held by the Abuakwa Police. The family of the deceased was not aware of the nature of the relationship between Martha and her boyfriend, and her father is in shock and devastated by her sudden passing.
