Shortly after the lawyer accused the businessman of inviting some media workers to cover the case to the prejudice of his client, the brawl broke out while they waited outside the hallways.
On Wednesday, November 16, the family division of Milimani Law Court was tense as a lawyer attacked a businessman whose ex-wife had filed a lawsuit for child support.
The former spouse of Robert Asembo's client, who was also a government employee, was beaten and kicked outside the chamber of the presiding magistrate, Robert Mbogo.
The client of Asembo was requesting from the businessman more than Ksh600,000.00 for child maintenance.
The fight broke out as they waited outside the corridors, shortly after the lawyer accused the businessman of inviting some media personnel to cover the matter to the detriment of his client.
After the assault, Asembo, who is a former AFC chairman and former FKF Vice-chair, immediately left.
