Expect new series of National Cathedral Scandals

The North Tongu Member of Parliament, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has informed the citizens of Ghana to anticipate further revelations of corruption concerning the National Cathedral project.

Mr. Ablakwa has been making a series of allegations against some members of the National Cathedral Board, specifically Secretary Rev Victor Kusi Boateng, accusing him of engaging in corrupt activities. He has advised Ghanaians to expect more details to emerge in the coming days.

Mr. Ablakwa previously filed a petition against Rev Kusi Boateng with the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ), alleging that the Secretary had registered a company under a different name to transact business with the Secretariat. Passports provided by the lawmaker showed that the name Kwabena Adu Gyamfi was one of the three directors of JNS Talent Centre Limited, a firm accused by an MP of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) of receiving GH¢2.6 million from the Secretariat for "no work done."

According to Mr. Ablakwa, despite differences in age, taxpayer identification numbers, professions, and addresses on the passports, Rev Kusi Boateng and Kwabena Adu Gyamfi are one and the same person. As the Ranking Member of the Foreign Affairs Committee of Parliament, Mr. Ablakwa is determined to continue exposing any corrupt activities related to the National Cathedral project.
