Professor Kwabena Frimpong-Boateng, a former Minister of Environment, Science, Technology, and Innovation, has expressed his disappointment with veteran journalist Abdul Malik Kweku Baako Jnr for consistently attacking him.

The professor stated in a letter dated April 18, which was seen by 3news.com, that Mr. Kweku Baako Jnr has been attacking him since 2010, during his bid for the flagbearer position of the New Patriotic Party (NPP). The heart surgeon promised to provide articles from Kweku Baako's Crusading Guide newspaper as evidence of his claims.

The feud between the two arose after the veteran journalist sent Prof Frimpong-Boateng a text message regarding the report of the Inter-Ministerial Committee on Illegal Mining (IMCIM), which was chaired by Prof Frimpong-Boateng.

The report pointed fingers at some elements within the Presidency for obstructing the fight against illegal mining in Ghana.

In response, the professor stated that he was solely responsible for the report and stood by every statement made, emphasizing that he presented verifiable facts and not innuendos to the Chief of Staff.
