UK-based Ghanaian musician Fuse ODG has called out Ghanaian-American comedian Michael Blackson for saying Ghana only has four big music stars.
Fuse says Michael Blackson's claims make Ghanaian musicians look bad.
As previously reported, Michael Blackson said on the Drink Champs podcast hosted by N.O.R.E and DJ EFN that Ghana only has four music superstars while Nigeria has a million.
"All the stars are in Nigeria. Nigeria is like New York when it comes to music in Africa and Ghana is like Dubai. In Ghana, I can only think of about four big stars. We have Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, Sarkodie and Black Sherif," Blackson said.
"Mike…I don’t know how you go on @Drinkchamps and say there are only 4 artists in Ghana. Not cool bro. I’ve personally introduced you to a lot of Gh artists in GH! smh. Stop embarrassing u on these platforms…you’re suppose to educate them,” Fuse said.
People on the internet have pointed out that Blackson said superstars, not artists, so Fuse ODG's criticism isn't quite right.
