It's heartbreaking to hear about the tragic incident that took place in Nungua, Accra, where a 28-year-old woman named Eunice was allegedly killed by her husband for filing for divorce. Reports suggest that the couple got married last year in a simple wedding ceremony, but soon after the wedding, Eunice found out that her husband was a serial cheat and a womanizer.
Eunice had been subjected to physical and mental abuse by her husband before she decided to take the step of filing for divorce. Despite his promises to change, her husband continued to mistreat her, which eventually led her to make the difficult decision of ending the marriage.
Sadly, things took a turn for the worse over the weekend when a heated argument between the couple turned violent, and her husband used a cutlass to attack her. Even though she was immediately rushed to the hospital for treatment, Eunice didn't survive the attack.
The perpetrator of this heinous crime, Eunice's husband, is currently on the run and has not been apprehended by the authorities yet. Our hearts go out to Eunice's family and loved ones during this difficult time, and we hope that justice is served.
