Some Ghanaian blogs mistakenly used photos of Yetunde Gold instead of Irene Amenyah, in an attempt to defend the latter from online harassment.
Yetunde Gold vehemently denied the mix-up, stating that the woman in the photos is not her and that she is not married. She even went as far as threatening to sue the Ghanaian bloggers responsible for the confusion.
The confusion arose when unflattering photos of Irene Amenyah, the wife of Ghanaian actor Harold, were widely circulated on social media during their traditional wedding ceremony.
Ghanaians ridiculed Harold for marrying an "ugly" woman. In an effort to defend the bride's beauty, Zionfelix posted a photo of her, which Yetunde Gold claims is actually a photo of herself, leading her to react swiftly in order to clear her name.
She stated: ““See why I am trending in Ghana. God abeg oooo. God Abeg ooo, I am not married. That is not me in Jesus name. I woke up to see myself on almost all the blogs in Ghana. Wahala.”
